I realize that I am very nostalgic these days. But you know some memories are just very easily recalled because they left such huge impact in our lives. Chizumi and Fujiomi manga series by Kyoko Hikawa are one of them. I remember reading them the first time in my Junior High in the late 90s, and each time I went back to read them, they still have the same impact in me until today. That makes Kyoko Hikawa a brilliant! I read her other stories but these are the one that I love most. From her drawings to story line, I’m very sure I’ll remember for the rest of my life. And the fact that romance is the least interest of mine, I just can’t help to adore Chizumi and Fujiomi’s relationship. Even this blog’s title is based on the second book in the series. Chizumi was this clumsy and weak girl (she fell down and dropped things A LOT) but with the most sincere, biggest heart and modesty, while Fujiomi was this quite, sort of cold, mature, strong and maybe a little awkward but the kindest guy. I usually hated weak female character but Chizumi is my exception. She cracked me up with her silliness, she makes me want to be a nicer, kinder person. Her package made Fujiomi falling for her. And what makes it more awesome, is that Chizumi could see right through his coldness, that this guy has the kindest heart. Because of her, other girls started to realize how attractive this guy was. See, it’s their combination that makes their stories go so well and addictive. And their stories are just relatable. That opposite does attract and it makes it more fun from each chance to learn about one another. That it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from it. That sincerity and kindness will lead you to people who are worth keeping in your live. And have I mention how I adore their fashion from the 70s? I just wish someone will make a tv or movie out of it.

It’s sad I can’t watch it live on niconico. “not available in your region” yeah yeah.
